Encounter Fridays runs every Friday night at SBC! Doors open at 8.00pm and we usually have to force everyone out at 10.30pm! It’s open to everyone and anyone in year 8-14, and is totally packed with fun, hilarious stuff to do, as well as a real chance to meet with God, learn from Him & worship Him in a way that suits you.

Community Nights

Most weeks we kick off with something fairly banterous – like games, challenges, quizzes etc. to name a few! We then have a short thought for the night, by one of the leaders – before all the venues (see below!) open up.

At 9.45pm we run Deeper – which is optional for those who want to stay to worship, discuss & learn more about our topic for the night. Deeper is a pretty relaxed 45 minute programme with space to worship & respond, as well as talk about things in small groups.

Event Nights

Once a month we have an event night with a speaker, a longer time of worshipping together – and more games & banter than you could shake a stick at! The programme is split into 2 halves, with a break in the middle – and wraps up at 9.45pm leaving 45minutes to hang out with your mates!

Venues

Most weeks venues open at 9pm for tonnes of great activities – from pool & table tennis, through to dance & guitar workshops, craft & jewelery making, to the famous FourSquare or Dodgeball, and plenty of food, tuck and games consoles tournaments!

We also run trips, weekends and other social events throughout the year – so you shouldn’t ever be short of something to do!

INFO:

Doors open at 8.00pm and everything kicks off at 8.15pm. We close up at 10.30pm sharp, but if you need to head on early you can get picked up anytime between 9.45-10.30pm!
