About Encounter

Encounter is the youth ministry of Strandtown Baptist Church, Belfast.

A vital part of Encounter is the large group programme that involves worship, teaching, prayer and time to socialise and relax with friends. This is a once-a-week event with a great, welcoming atmosphere and a real emphasis on spending time with God in a way that suits you.

The Encounter programme is designed to cater for ages 11-20 something's.

Our Purpose
To make disciples of 11yr olds -20 something's who love God, love others and love the lost

To see 11yr olds -20 something's become disciples, grow as disciples and make disciples

The overall Encounter program also involves smaller cell groups, called Life Groups, which meet once a week, encouraging growth, discipleship and accountability amongst those who attend. Information can be obtained by contacting Dave Linton or the Church office.
